Just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you that have recently signed on. For those of you that are new to Harford Singles, I just wanted to let you know that our Meetup may be a "little different" from other meetups that you belong to. I like to think that we are a little more "personal". Besides listing events, we also send out other types of emails...some asking for help from other members, ranging from requests for a good plumber to help with moving. We also send out emails advising of special occasions (marriage announcements, births of grandbabies, etc.)

If you have a need for some sort of help, send the request to me and I will send out to the group. You may not always get a response but for the most part in the past 14 years, almost someone has always stepped in to help with your request.

A reminder to all of you that are new to the meet up concept, please try to rsvp for an event, especially the regular bi-monthly meetings. Last night I think we had only 4 people rsvp, but 11 people actually came. I went in and edited the attendance to reflect the accurate count. Showing the attendance at an event is actually a tool to attract new members. ...and rsvping for events, like our dinner at the Ritz at the end of the month, is real important because we need the head count for the actual reservations.

Lastly, I want to talk about your yearly dues. For those of you that were members before we switched over the Meetup system, I have imputed when you last paid your dues. If that date is incorrect according to your records, please let me know so I can update my records. If your dues are outstanding, please pay up.

For those members who have not paid their dues...or are not paid up to date...you will be considered as "guests" at any event and will be charged a $5.00 fee for any event that you attend. That fee does not apply to any of our bi-monthly meetings. If you want to know what your membership fee is for, go the Pages tab on our home page and read "The Purposes of your $20 Dues".
