Fellow Harlem Community Members:
The Manhattan Community Board 10 Economic Development Committee cordially invites you to speak at our Saturday, June 21, 2014, Harlem Technology Forum, where representatives from local technology companies, educational institutions and economic development organizations will join with Harlem residents and other stakeholders to discuss current and future challenges and opportunities arising from recent technological developments in Harlem. The forum will be divided into multiple sections including: “Central Harlem Wi-Fi: Economic Expectations and Opportunities;" “Central Harlem Small High Technology Businesses- Partners for a Harlem 'High Tech' Economy;” “Technology and Education - Current and Future Implications for Harlem Young Technologists;” and “Seniors and Technology.” The forum will take place at HarlemGarage, located at 318 West 118th Street, from 9:30 AM to 12:30PM. It will begin with a "Meet and Greet" with food/refreshments on the main floor. The program will begin promptly at 9:45 AM. The purpose of this forum will focus on the economic impact and opportunities posed by the new free Wi-Fi zone to Central Harlem residents.
