Free Adult Salsa Class @ Harlem Children's Zone - All Dance Levels Welcome!

Ever wanted to learn those slick Salsa moves on the dance floor? Want to do something fun afterwork and get a little exercise in at the same time? Well here's a great opportunity to do so - for FREE. Join us for Junior Belone's Salsa Class at the renowned Harlem Children's Zone.

Junior Belone and his team (pictured above) are great, patient instructors who hold a fun 2-hour class for all levels of Salsa dancers - those that are trying a formal lesson for the first time ever (beginners), to intermediates that already are solid "on 2" dancers and are looking to improve turns & spins, to advanced dancers learning extended Salsa moves. Junior has been teaching the class at Harlem Children's Zone since 2009.

To Participate In The Free Salsa Class

When you arrive, let the check-in desk that you're with the HarlemGo Meetup Group for the salsa class. They'll hand you a registration form to fill out. The class officially starts at 7:00pm, but we'll meetup at 6:30pm to allow time to register. You'll only need to fill out the form this one time, which will allow you to continue to sign up for the class on your own, or with our Meetup group, for up to one year there after! Feel free to bring along a friend or two, and the class ends at 9pm.

About Harlem Children's Zone

The Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) is a non-profit organization for poverty-stricken children and families living in Harlem, providing free support for the children and families in the form of parenting workshops, a pre-school program, three public charter schools, and child-oriented health programs for thousands of children and families. HCZ is nationally and internationally recognized for their "whatever it takes" approach to childhood education. Under the visionary leadership of its President and CEO, Geoffrey Canada, HCZ continues to offer innovative, efficiently run programs that are aimed at doing nothing less than breaking the cycle of generational poverty for the thousands of children and families it serves.

Directions to HCZ

This location of HCZ is located at 245 West 129th Street, just off Frederick Douglass Avenue (8th Ave).The nearest subways to this HCZ location are the A, B, C & D trains to 125th Street. The #M10 bus line also stops very close to HCZ.
