In conjunction with EmblemHealth, this introductory Tai Chi and Qigong restorative wellness class is being held exclusively for the HarlemGo Meetup group members!
You will experience basic chi (energy) movements that help to reduce stress, gain clarity and promote relaxation.
You will be guided through:
• Chi (energy) movements/stretches
• Breathing techniques
• Energy meditation
Originally from China, but now practiced the world over, Tai Chi and Qigong combine natural, physical movement with breathing, visualization, and mental concentration, to give you a full body and mind workout. The mind is actively engaged, making Tai Chi and Qigong superior for relieving mental stress and enhancing personal growth and emotional well-being.
When you arrive to the EmblemHealth office, just mention that your are with the HarlemGo Meetup, attending the Tai Chi class. The class starts at 6pm, but please try to arrive around 5:45pm to settle in.
As mentioned, this class is free & exclusively scheduled just to the HarlemGo Meetup members, and because space is limited, only member RSVP's can be accepted (no 'plus' guests).
Please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing and be sure to let your doctor know that you will be taking part in an exercise class.
If you are running late or have any questions, please feel free to call/text Daniel at 774.275.3646.
