While I have tried all types of photography, my real interest is outdoor photography. I enjoy marco, flowers, landscapes and trying to get good night shots.
My interest in photography began about 40+ years ago when my first daughter was born. I used a Yashica rangefinder with, of all things, a bulb flash and shot primarily B&W. I eventually built a B&W darkroom which was a great learning experience, and then progressed to colour (slides & prints). In the last 5 years I made the move to digital which I am enjoying but which has presented challenges; post processing software being the biggest challenge.
While I think I am getting there, I find managing work flow in software a challenge. I primarily use PS Elements and I am enjoying some of the more advances features that have been added from the Photoshop arsenal. More specifically the layers/masking features. I have consulted with you on this topic. More recently, I have gone back to my B&W roots and I am looking at subject matter that lends it self to that medium.
I am retired environmental engineer with a family of four and now my wife and I have two grand children.
I am new to this group so a meaningful evaluation would be premature. However, I have on several occasions exchanged e-mails with Mr. Davis; this has proved to be very helpful. My thanks for this webinar and all past help.
