Photographing Flowers for Transparency: Full Day Workshop with Harold Davis

First attempt. Taking a second (wonderful!) workshop really helped me begin getting this. Lots of information, so well presented. Thank you!

    Question for Harold - some of the petals look pretty muddy, I think. There was a lot of damage in the petals, and I used the clone stamp tool and the spot healing brush and quick healing brush tool on the picture that had what seemed to be about the best exposure. Any ideas for making that look better? Thanks

    Lucy, what you did sounds about right for normal retouching procedure. There are a few other approaches possible, one you may not have thought of is to use a good petal to overpaint a bad petal. I am thinking of doing a retouching workshop! Best wishes, Harold

    Thank you; converting it into LAB color and inverting it was easier than figuring out how to add a texture and all that involves. My brain was on overload by then.
