Thanks Bev! How are you feeling? I know you would have had many great shots to post if you had made the trip. Sorry you couldn't make it.

Thank you Susie. I'm feeling better but still have a ways to go to get to 100%. I'm sorry I missed the trip and that I missed spending time with you and the rest of the gang. There will be other trips though, so I'll look forward to seeing you on one or more of those.

what a great photo, susie. i didn't study this carefully the first time i looked at it but then i discovered what a great narrative you have here. love the mood created by the rain and the wet pavement. dark and ominous. but then there are layers to this. kind of like a spy movie. here's the storyline i imagined... it was a dark and stormy night, uh day. the main character with shifty eyes surveying his environment as he rushes through the rain. who's the guy following him? what is he reaching for? the man in the sandwich shop - was he a lookout? and of course, what really makes this picture is the guy on the left with the cigarette. partially obscured but realizing he's just been discovered. what's his next move? is the photographer in danger? anticipation, fear, anxiety are the emotions i get from this photo. love it. good eye. good reaction time to catch that "moment". maybe i watch too many movies...

Very interesting story Chester! Not too many movies, just a great imagination and perception of light and shadow. :) Thanks for looking closer!

How did I miss this one? Thanks, CN for the added see's. A friend just drew my attention to this photo. That guy on the left and that SUPERB watery sidewalk with walker's reflection really gets me.

I missed this, too. So much going on here. And the wet pavement really makes it even more evocative. This must have been the afternoon you made your way back from Sacre Coeur on your own.
