Civil War Reenactment - Gettysburg

Address:  965 Pumping Station Road, Gettysburg, PA  17325. Meet at the ticket tent at 9:00 a.m.  I will have a black and white designed umbrella held up for members.  Please read about the rules relating to photography and tripods along with the rules relating to backpacks and large coolers.

The tickets are $29.00 prior to July 5, 2014.  They are priced higher at the ticket tent, but no specific raised fee was listed on the web page.

The location noted above is where the movie, Gettysburg, was filmed. The first battle is at 11:00 a.m. with a live mortar demonstration at South Calvary Field.

You will need a portrait lens (24-75mm) and a telephoto lens.  Additionally, you may bring a polarizing filter or a neutral density filter (if it's really sunny outside).  Please read up on the , "Sunny 16 Rule."  (via google or bing).

We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great day of photography!!!

UPDATE:  Page 46 of this month's Popular Photography magazine has an article and images specifically dealing with "Picturing History."  Great, great information for taking re-enactment images.
