Third Thursday

This is our regularly scheduled meetup on the Third Thursday of the month.

As one member posted:

I remind everyone that as students in our craftS, we learn from each other, we teach each other, we share with each other. This is just that kind of group.

Just make your interests, needs (OR HELP!) known and I'm sure someone can help.

See you soon!

Oh my gosh, Thank you Kathy. Thank you.

I've had some experiences with OVR. They have bought a few pairs of hearing aids (I've had so many. I kept needing stronger ones, unfortunately). OVR was a big help with the hearing aids.

It's a long, long story. They 'refuse' to re-open my file at this point.

They did tell me a program that my audiologist had already told me of, it's called "Hear Now". If you apply there, and get approval, they purchase you one pair of hearing aids.

I have an 'issue' going on at the moment. You have to pay a processing fee of $125 for each 'free' hearing aid.

The story goes on, I hope it is okay to tell it...

So, I sent a personal check for $250. They sent it back saying I have to send them a money order (I guess I missed that on the directions).

So now, I have sent them a money order that they say they haven't gotten. It is frustrated, as I sent it regular mail and there is no way to track it.

Stacy, two of my husband's sons have hearing issues, and they have used a state-run program to help them with their hearing aids - they can be very expensive.
here is a link that will provide some more information. hopefully you will be able to take advantage of their services. if the link doesn't work, just type OVR into your search engine.
Cheer up - Spring is here (almost)! and get working on the latch hook!

Thank you. I very much enjoyed getting out. I don't get out much. I wear hearing aids and couldn't participate much because I need new ones. I'm working on a plan that I hope will lead me to new hearing aids soon.

I hadn't worked on my latch hook rug in quite some time. I am depressed with the not being able to hear very well. I hope this changes soon. Just being out among people who wanted to talk to me, though, put a major lift in my spirits. Thank you. :)

I tried to arrange to go this, but can't make it. I don't drive. I'd love to go. If anyone lives near Enola and could provide transporation (I'll reimburse for expenses) my phone number is[masked]

I hope I might be able to attend. I would like to. I don't drive, and I have difficult time with getting rides to Harrisburg. If anyone lives on the West Shore and is going and it is 'convenient' and could help me, I'd be happy to help pay fo gas costs. My phone number is[masked]
