What's your favorite hiking location?

Falling Waters Tr to Franconia Ridge over to Mt LaFayette and down Bridle Path is my fav. The Metacomet Tr is a good local place, the various trails in Peoples Forest, Castle Craig, Sleeping Giant..

What type of hiking do you do (in terms of length and difficulty)?

Both short and long hikes are good. Sometimes it's just nice to be outside for a while. Other times a challenging hiking vacation like a range hike in the Whites provides a heavy duty workout with heavy duty views.

I love to be outside when it's not too cold or too wet. One day it's fun to walk along a brook, sit on a rock and watch the water flow. Another day it's fun to climb up out of the trees to timberline and go along a ridge with outstanding vistas.
