I love hiking and recreational walking. I also photograph many of the trails I hike. I also need the exercise and the heart workout. Check out my hiking photos at http://www.flickr...![]()
Indian Council Caves
Usually moderate, with some steep inclines. I ordinarily try to keep the hike to between 2 and 4 miles, and as much as I would like to go more often, it is impossible to do more than a couple of times a month.
Nice comraderie and a great pace for all levels of hikers.

"Thanks to all who came to the hike this afternoon. It was a wonderful group. The trail is a real gem with quite a varied terrain. We did the entire preserve and had 8 minutes to spare before sunset."
Meetup Cancelled: Fall Back Hike at Adams Mill, 165 Adams St., Manchester, CT
"Sorry that the weather is going to be raining. The trail at Adams Mill can be very dangerous after the kind of rain that is expected so for safety reasons it is best to reschedule for another time."
Would like to find folks who are out of work by 2 or 3 p.m. everyday.
"Some great responses. I will be contacting Kevin to see how I could announce these hikes and then we can go from there. I work in Manchester so would like to stay near that area so that it won't be so much travel time...."

"Hi to all: Just wondering if there are other folks in the group who. like me, start work very early which allows them to be out by around 2 or 3...."
Windsor Locks Canal Walk, Suffield, CT
"Very easy walk. Good pace. Good company. Larry was really knowledgeable about the area and very informative. Thanks Larry for a great meet up."
The other side of the Windsor Canal - East Windsor side
"Thanks Larry. The trail is off of 140 East Windsor side before you go over the river. You have to go down Bridge ST which then becomes No. River Rd. I think. Anyway, the trail is largely used for fishing. It is basically two trails...."
The other side of the Windsor Canal - East Windsor side
"I was trying to see if anybody might like to walk this trail that goes along the CT River on the East Windsor side of the river. I have been once, but it seems it could be a rather scary place alone, which I was at the time...."
