Laugh for the health of it at the Torrington Library!

  • Want less stress and more joy in your life? 

    Want to try a delightful exercise that has been recommended by Oprah, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Andrew Weil?

    Want to strengthen your immune system and fend off colds better? Want relief from chronic pain? Want some low-impact aerobic exercise?

    If so, try Laughter Yoga! Many people say it is a life-changing, exhilarating experience. Meet other laughter-loving folks!

    No special flexibility required.  We use laughter as exercise, and we play simple games and do deep breathing techniques. Participating is fun and easy! People of all physical abilities and ages are welcome.

  • CLOTHING/WATER: Water bottle and comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended. No yoga mats.

  • REGISTRATION:  The program is free and open to the public.  Registration is required and begins July 1.  To register, please contact the Torrington Library at 860.489.6684.

    While the program ends at 7:30 pm, we have the room until 8 pm. The librarian said that people usually stick around to chat. So, feel free to hang around afterward and make new friends!
