How do we awaken here and now as everyday people?

Awakening is not just about Waking Up –- to realize the Mystery of our Infinite Nature. It’s also about Waking DOWN -- into life, our bodies, and relating to others in Mutuality with honor and authenticity. These are the insights of Saniel Bonder, founder of the Waking Down in Mutuality teaching and founding member of Ken Wilbur’s Integral Institute.

Waking Down is an awakening path that supports us to find our own unique life-sustaining truth and expression. Some people find the work because they want to awaken. Some people find it when their current spiritual practices have become dry and hopeless. Some people just want the unique holding and transmission of the community. If any of these reasons appeal to you, please come.

The Waking Down process is a direct route to a nondual embodied consciousness awakening that lies not in striving to rise above our human tendencies, but in relaxing into them with awareness. This, along with an investigation of consciousness, and transmission of Being, catalyzes an awakening to a profound, unshakable, paradoxical knowing of oneself simultaneously as Infinite Consciousness and Finite Matter. Deepening in transforming engagement with others in mutuality leads to an ever-increasing ability to live a compassionate and skillful divinely human life.

Meetings can include mutuality groups led by peers or teacher-led gatherings, called sittings, with gazing meditation and conscious sharing.

We invite you to join us. Come share your heart, listen and connect with others in a safe, nurturing setting. Transformation happens quickly and organically as you participate in this collaborative exploration of embodied awakening, which facilitates trust in the wisdom of Being.

We encourage you to read a little about Waking Down in Mutuality before coming to a mutuality group or sitting so you have some context and can optimize your time at the event. In particular, we recommend these essays:

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
