Hope in Small Doses: A Blueprint for Reasonable Happiness

Nikki Stern draws on research, observation and her own experience to propose a contemporary version of hope compatible even with skepticism and doubt. Hope reimagined relies not on divine promises or guarantees from the universe but on possibility, and offers a welcome counterpoint to the cult of cynicism.

This event is cosponsored by the Greater Boston Humanists. We welcome all secular, atheist, non-theist, Ethical Culture, and others to join us.

Free lunch provided by the Greater Boston Humanists at 12:00, followed by the speaker at 1:00.

FREE PARKING in the Littauer Library Lot near the Science Center will be available during the event: Enter the Science Quadrangle from Oxford St. and follow the road through to its end in the Science Center/Law Library area. Phillips Brooks House is in the very corner of Harvard Yard (which is also accessible by the MBTA).

I'm in Lexington this weekend and I forgot that there is no publicly transportation from there on Sundays. I'm sorry I can't attend to this talk. :-(

If we can't attend, are there any articles/books/blog posts by (or recommend by) Nikki Stern? I'm very interested in the topic but will be away this weekend. Have a great event!
