At the Humanist Hub, we aim to encourage members to connect to one another; act together with the larger community toward change; and evolve as individuals and in community.
But what does it mean to "Act?"
Does every person have a moral obligation to take on a big issue and fight for what they believe? Or is it enough to be a good person to the people around you in your life? Is raising awareness for an issue a meaningful way to take action? Is giving money to support a cause equivalent to volunteering? How do we choose which causes and values mean the most, and how to act on them? How do you?
Join us for an open discussion this Sunday about how our values influence our actions, and how we choose to express both.
Do you value reason, compassion, creativity, justice, integrity, awareness, environmentalism, feminism, equality, science, progress, and pluralism?
Join us here at the Humanist Community at Harvard (a 501(c)3 nonprofit that aims to build and educate a diverse community of the nonreligious at Harvard and in Cambridge) for music, speakers, good folks, and more. Free and open to the public -- no Harvard affiliation needed.
