GHC Hacking made simple

GHC is the de-facto standard Haskell compiler and used by many of us on a regular basis. GHC is also open source and in principle everybody could modify it. However, only very few actually dare to read it's sources and even fewer dare modifying them. This talk is here to change that fact and shed light onto the arcane task of GHC Hacking; i.e., it will provide a hands-on introduction into reading, modifying, and compiling the GHC sources :-)
