Extra Life Charity Event

The Extra Life charity event is held a once a year, nationwide, and primarily involve videogamers across the country promising to play games for 24 hours. They ask family and friends to sponsor them and the contributions go to the Children's Miracle Network. Last year they raised $1.1 million for children's hospitals.

This year Jim Flemming organized a local boardgames event at the Games Keep as part of the Extra Life event. They will be hosting a 12 hour open gaming charity event called "Extra Life Open Gaming: Gaming For Good".

For a minimum donation of $5, you will be able to play boardgames ALL day, get FREE pizza and drinks, participate in demos of new games, have the opportunity to win FREE GAMES (from publishers like Z-Man, R&R, Stronghold and Game Salute) AND most important, help support a fantastic cause.

You can go, play for several hours, help the cause, and still make it in time to our regular game night at 7pm. :-)
