Eckankar Worship Service "The Source of Love"

"God loves, but not because we deserve it or have earned it. The reason is simply that God is love, therefore God loves. We are Soul, God's creation, and it loves us because that is its nature. We have to recognize that we, as Soul, must one day come into the fulfillment of our spiritual being too. We, as Soul, must become love." We Come as Eagles, Mahanta Transcripts, Book 9, Harold Klemp, page 25.

The ECK Worship Service is open to everyone. Led by the Eckankar clergy, the service has the spiritual theme listed above and begins with a short reading. Participants are invited to share in the singing of the HU Song, which is an ancient non-denominational love song to God. It is followed by a short silent contemplation. Speakers and group discussions allow all to share and explore the spiritual theme. The receptivity of the participants to listen to each other gives attendees an opportunity to speak from their hearts. Often attendees come away with new insights for their own lives. The atmosphere and dress are informal.
