Hawaii After Dark Social at Uss Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park

This is a free event with complimentary pupus, refreshments, an honor wine bar & free parking.

“A photographic Journey; Through the National WWII Museum” with Presidential council for the WWII Museum as well as, Chief Historian for The WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument, Daniel Martinez.

Mr. Martinez was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  In 1979 thru 1985, Mr. Martinez was a seasonal ranger at Little Big Horn battlefield and the USS Arizona Memorial.  He began his permanent career in 1986 at the USS Arizona Memorial.  Over the years, Mr. Martinez has been deeply involved in the field of interpretation and education.  He was, for six years, an interpretative skills trainer for the National Park Service.

Later, he was asked to be a planning member for the rewriting of interpretative standards for the National Park Service rangers.  At the memorial, he served as an interpretive specialist and presently holds the position of Park Historian.  He has served as historian from 1989 to the present.

Mr. Martinez’s activities outside and inside the park are varied and numerous.  He has lectured on a wide variety of historical topics and written and published many articles on Pearl Harbor and the Pacific War.  He has presented at such prestigious gatherings such as the Organization of American Historians, the National Council on Public History and the Oral History Association.

In the world of entertainment, he is the host and historian-in-residence for the Discovery Channel’s “Unsolved History”.

We are looking forward to a fun, interesting & educational evening - not to get business leads and no pick-ups!

This is an open group - anyone that wants to meet new people. This group is about being low-key... no pretentious attitude is allowed. You don't need to know anybody.

If you are new, track down the hosts and we'll be sure to introduce you to a handful of people.

Wallflowers are welcome ~ no pressure allowed!

Life is what we decide to make of it and I cannot think of a better way than to have a once a week gathering of good people and just enjoy each other’s company.

The choice is yours… you will not know what you are missing if you do not at least come out and see what it is like to meet new people, no strings, no stress, no expectations.

You will not find a group of people who will welcome you as if you were a long lost friend. There are no strangers amongst us ~ just friends we have not met ~ sharing bad jokes and enjoying everyone’s company.

We hope you will take time from your busy schedule to unwind and socialize - so please join us for this special free event - complimentary pupus, refreshments, an honor wine bar & free parking.
