Origami for Sadako @ Arizona Memorial Park

The club has been asked to host some tables at a big event to honor Sadako Sasaki at the USS Arizona Memorial.

Please take a look at this short youtube video describing Sadako's life:

We will primarily be teaching origami to he public, so if you can teach some simple origami, please let me know. If not, come out for the memorial and see an original Sadako crane! I hope to see you all and catch up, and I hope his will also give you all a chance to catch up with each other!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I will update you on the exact location of the tables soon.

Mahalo, and happy folding!

I'm not sure, haven't been myself! But it sounds like there's a lot going on, and should be lots of fun!

Shoot! My sis just told me about this group (she's in IN), but I was planning on going up Kalihi Valley to Ho'oulu Aina for their community work day. Course I haven't told them Yes yet... ; )

Hi Yuli, Welcome to the HOC MeetUp page. I hope to see you then. Whether you're new to origami, or an expert, there's something for anyone to learn!

Thx, Scott. I'm neither nor. Been around origami all my life; learned to fold following pictures as I never comprehended the characters. I know a couple of pieces by memory. The balloon came in handy last year when I needed to make random number generators to share with the kids learning about probability. =)

Hi Scott, I have a baseball game that morning -- can I come by after that? It would be about 10:30 am or so.

No problem, we may even hang out for a little bit after the formal time too. Probably get lunch, and do more folding. I don't have anywhere to be that day. I'm surprised you're done by 10:30 though, early game! It'll be good to see you again!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
