I named this group Healing Diabetics as we will be learning to use the garden for restoring vibrant health. The garden is there for eating, exercising and rejuvenating and calming the mind.

I started this group to accomplish my mission of making Kansas City the city without diabetes, to get the message out to the community that diabetics can take control of their health and become whole again.

We will have local health experts speak on topics of interest such as nutrition, exercise and belief systems. They will bring clarity on how to incorporate this information into your daily life. There will be movies, cook book reviews, food demonstrations, group sharing and support and much more.

You will leave each meeting with a simple and practical tool that you can start using immediately to improve your health. Delicious and healthy recipes, a method for controlling food cravings, an exercise designed to be fun and easy so you will use it, or maybe a technique to strengthen your self esteem.

Everyone is welcome: diabetics looking for a lifestyle that promotes healing, people that have been told they are pre-diabetic and busy people looking for simple changes to remain healthy and prevent having to use drugs to control blood sugar levels in the future.
