Anahata: Awakening of the Heart, with Jan Janssen

We welcome Jan Janssen back to London for his 3rd workshop here. This weekend is a deep exploration of the heart, in its many dimensions. The first day is on offer as “pay what you can”, and anyone is welcome to come- it’s suitable for all levels, from very beginners to experienced travellers. It can be taken as a stand-alone workshop. The second day is a continuation of the first, to go deeper into our hearts.

“The heart chakra is about relating with others, the ability to have connection: affectionate connection, heartfelt connection, flowing connection. It is in the middle of the 7 chakras, with 3 above, and 3 below. Because it’s in the centre, the heart has a very sacred position, for it integrates the seven main chakras into one coherent system. Awakening the heart is thus a vital part of our transformational journey.

“Real love is a very profound state of the soul”

The heart is mostly about loving, but the word love is used in many many ways, often describing things which are not truly love. Especially in so called “love songs”, what they sing about is emotional attachment and emotional dependency, which is not really love. The word love is also often used in very cheesy, ‘romantic’ ungrounded sentiments. That’s also not necessarily real love. Real love is a very profound state of the soul. It’s not a weak sentiment. In our culture, love is linked with weakness. So there’s some clearing up of the confusion around love to be done, and discovering the real strength that love entails. Love is the strong power of the heart. Love is actually the most grounded, solid, reliable, and dignified state that humans can hold.”

Day 1: Saturday 17th November – “Awakening the heart”

This is a day of grounding into our bodies, aligning, experiencing a profound heart chakra activation through Tibetan pujas (spiritual transmissions which empower the heart and inner depths of one’s being), and experiencing ourselves as heart-centred beings. Jan will introduce the four dimensions of the heart chakra; we will experience going deep into our Selves; we will share together and integrate as we continously awaken new depths within our hearts.  This day is “pay what you can”, and all are welcome. You can come just on Saturday, or Saturday AND Sunday.

Day 2: Sunday 18th November: “Activating the deeper dimensions of the heart”

This is a day of going deeper into multi-dimensional heart presence; in relationship and contact with others as well as with Self. We will build on day 1, spiralling ever deeper into the centre of our being, our heart.

“During the weekend we continuously work on increasing the amount of energy that runs through your system and chakras. You’re building your energy muscles, your energetic fitness. This energetic fitness deepens your ability to tolerate the emotions, feelings, and psychological states that you pass through during the day. It also raises the energy frequency of the heart chakra.

“The more you raise the vibration of the heart chakra, the more positive, enlightened, delicate, refined and delicious human relationships become.”

One of the consequences of the heart chakra starting to vibrate on a higher frequency is that you feel higher emotions. The lowest emotions are “negative” emotions; at a slightly higher state of the heart you feel “positive” emotions; and with even higher states you access very profound feelings, very refined and delicate feelings, delicious feelings. The more you raise the vibration of the heart chakra, the more positive, enlightened, delicate, refined and delicious human relationships become.”
