  • This location is shown only to members

Hello Health 2.0 Amsterdammers,

We are excited to announce our special edition event in partnership with the WAAG Society. This event will take place at the historic building on Nieumarkt and with WAAG Society's sister organizations will connect a live audience linking Amsterdam, London, Paris & Lisbon.

Please note there is extremely limited seating so we kindly ask you to only RSVP if you are sure you can attend and are interested in this topic.

This two hour event will focus on virtual care & telemedicine at which Ana Brasileiro will join us form Lisbon and Pera Luís Fernandes from London to present their research and project - "Virtual Hospital". Unprecedented technology advancements as well as access to care, lowering cost of care and providing a better quality experience are certainly all key drivers of virtual care. In this session we will also discuss the benefits but more importantly challenges encountered and potential solutions to overcome these obstacles.

    Great enthusiasm and openness, more variety in concepts, best practices & services provided for virtual hospitals would make these sessions even more interesting

    Sorry I was not there.. :-(, I would certainly have raised the tele-dermatology service that are already there. Take a look at Ksyos for example; http://www.ksyos.nl/telemedicine-diensten/teledermatologie/. This is certainly the way to go in healthcare.

    Great meetup! Inspiring to hear different perspectives and needs. Don't know if this is the best place to share, but these cases also show an interesting approach to health2.0 regarding diagnosis;
    -Laastari; Finnish clinic which blends online/offline www.laastari.fi/en (short movie; http://bit.ly/ZkDcZt).
    -Project M; Mobile health in Uganda by SMS; http://www.frogdesign.com/work/project-m.html
    Looking forward to future events.

    Great session! Thanks to you all. What was the name again on the derma project in the Netherlands? Something named Skios?! Can't find it on the internet.

    I would echo the comments about having an agenda, more focused discussion, being able to disconnect non-participating locations, etc. However I was most impressed by the diversity of the participants and their input on the same topic from different cultural and economic perspectives. Just as our enthusiastic Macedonian friend was. :) It gives you a new perspective on common issues and an opportunity to talk with people you would not otherwise encounter.

    I enjoyed the event today, a good start. If the approach could be a little more problem oriented next time, I think there is more to gain from the diversity of the groups.

    Great addition to have the multi-site telepresence. If we can get a control of the system to manage the next time it will only get better

    Very interesting because of the diversity of presentations and participants, but also very challenging because of exactly that, too. I'd personally like to see much more focussed agenda, and an opportunity of more active participation and contribution. The Digital Cafe was an interesting format to try, lots of additional value, but also lots of things to think about and improve.

      Thanks Slava - indeed our normal format is very different, where it is a bit more intimate and everyone gets to participate! Thanks for the feedback. All noted

    I'd love to come, but I sense the event is booked; since I'm coming from Eindhoven, I'd need to know in advance if there is still place available. Thank you for your help!
