Doctor and patient co-created mHealth innovations
I have analysed healthcare innovation from an academics perspective. I have been published in the British Journal of Healthcare Management. I looked at the potential to use connected health to reverse the obesity academic and analysed arguments that the NHS is slow to adopt innovation. In my current "day job" I research attitudes and usage of mHealth from doctors/ chronic disease patients in the USA, India, China and Brazil. I also am part of a "trends team" who analyse trends in connected health for our clients.
I work for Ipsos- a global market research firm. We are the largest market research firm in the UK. I mainly work on ad hoc work. I have built up special knowledge of drug and health technology reimbursement systems in the EU5. I also have worked with a major industry body to research mHealth.
To be stimulated by debate and ideas in the Health 2.0 sphere. To meet like minded professionals. to share my insights in this area. I am open minded about my goals with the group at the present time.
Not currently, in the short term I would like to cement myself in the group, get a flavour of which speakers stimulate and then I will think about what I can present.
I am a Market Research professional with a special interest in healthcare technology. My passion for Health 2.0 began whilst studying for my MSc in international healthcare management from Imperial college.
