Join us Tuesday for an informal discussion with a local startup, Litesprite. Swatee Surve, founder and CEO, is a Women 2.0 Seattle Female Founder to Watch, and led the Litesprite team towards a win in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Games to Generate Data Developer Challenge and in the Portland Fast Pitch.
Working with Premera's Executive team as a Lead Consultant, Swatee built the firm's innovation capabilities; at T-Mobile, Swatee incubated and launched the V1.0 Android Bobsled Group Messaging application and researched mobile health partners; as a Microsoft Sr. Research Program Manager, she interfaced routinely with world healthcare experts and computer scientists to establish projects that apply advanced computing technologies to further research into disease; and prior to Microsoft, she held general management and thought leader positions at Nike and Public Radio International, and Eastman Kodak. Her task was to create high-impact change by developing and launching technology-based businesses. She has 8 patents issued - several of which were Nike's first wearable technology patents.
We will cover some key factors that drove her to that fateful leap to starting her own business, and what the result of that leap has been within a vast and quickly changing ecosystem.
