He has more than 15 years of experience in information technology, management and consulting. He was previously CTO of Cgate Health, a SaaS platform that enables healthcare providers to order, view, manage and share lab information in real-time.

Sivaram Arabandi, MD is the founder of ONTOPRO, an Applied Clinical Informatics company that provides strategic, advisory and technical consulting services in Healthcare IT with a focus on Semantic Web technologies. Dr. Arabandi has over 14 years of multidisciplinary clinical and information technology experience. He trained as a General Surgeon and holds a Masters degree in Computer Science. Sivaram has worked as Director for Smart Content Strategy at Elsevier, providing Clinical Informatics leadership and responsible for Terminology services including Elsevier Merged Medical Taxonomy (EMMeT) and application of Semantic Web technologies in Clinical products. He has worked on projects ranging from complete implementation of clinical content development within a structured EHR system to enterprise quality reporting frameworks involving large scale data integration.
