Enabling Infrastructure for Care Transitions

Dear Members:

We had a fantastic event in Austin at SXSWi. 120+ attendees, 11+ Startups, and a wild time in Austin with all that was going on. If you have never attended SXSWi, I highly recommend joining us next year as this will be an annual event.

April's event will be next Thursday, 4/10, at Tech Church / Health Wildcatters and will feature Scott Vu, Vice President Technology for Loopback Anayltics who will discuss "Enabling Infrastructure for Care Transitions".

Trying out new technologies or solutions in today’s healthcare is costly and at times cost prohibitive.  Healthcare costs are high because technologies are slow to be adopted.  Loopback is building an enabling infrastructure to reduce the barriers for implementing new technologies and evidence-based solutions.  Their goal is to help reduce the overall cost of healthcare services.

Prior to his current role, Scott served as the lead architect for Loopback's care transitions platform. With more than 18 years of health care experience, his leadership roles span from lead architect and director, to Vice President and CEO. Vu has worked for a variety of startups, including lead architect of Electronic Transmission Company which eventually became public based on the strength of its health care claims conversion technology. He was founder and CEO of Data Perfection, a health care technology company where he created a cloud-based platform to process, re-price and route claims. Vu began his career at Texas Instruments as a test engineer. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Also, Mitchell Martin Inc. will provide food and refreshments for the event.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
