Let's learn to make an osechi (Japanese New Year's dishes)!

The tradition in Japan is to welcome the new year with a feast of osechi dishes. Each dish symbolises forthcoming happiness, health and wealth. Join me to cook these tasty osechi dishes to welcome 2014 !

The menu:

Namasu - pickled daikon radish and carrots
Kobumaki - salmon rolled in kombu kelp
Onishime - simmered vegetables and chicken
Ozoni - White miso soup with vegetabels and mochi
Satsumaimo kurikinton - Creamy Japanese Sweet yam with chestnut

Happy New Year, Reiko!!! I so wanted to attend this class especially because I love ozoni but don't know how to make it. I would like to participate if you host this class again at the end of 2014 but for now, wishing you all the best for the new year and hope to see you soon!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
