Hike at Circle B Bar Reserve before Chapter Meeting

Short hike before meeting. This scenic wildlife preserve is home to an oak hammock, freshwater marsh, hardwood swamp and lake shore, a tremendous bird population, including a variety of wading birds, waterfowl, ospreys and bald eagles.  Alligators inhabit Lake Hancock and may be observed from a distance.  Please note, pets are not allowed.

Bring:  Hiking shoes, brimmed hat, water, sun, and insect protection.

My first time joining this group. How long does this event usually last? And being first time, any thing I need to know besides walking shoes & cold drink ? Thanks : )

This hike will be shorter than most as we have a 10am meeting. Also because of the meeting I don't anticipate any snack break. The trails are flat and drier than some others. If we get a lot of rain this week, they could get muddy. Would suggest bug spray. You might want to bring a camera. AND MOST OF ALL, WELCOME!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
