It was a wonderful meeting and got to hear and learn what others are doing with Python. Also, I was happy to hear many questions about the subject and different suggestions from the group. People chipped in other technologies and it was great to learn about these new ideas.

It was good to know about MrJob utilities and other such projects.
Mhh, never used Hadoop and Map-Reduce. But the an introduction enough to cover the interesting parts and short enough to attract the attention. Looking forward to your presentation!!

I can't attend, but if you produce any slides or other documentation, could you please put them online after meetup? I'm quite interested in Hadoop as a data storage, but I don't know much about it.

A question to those who are coming: how familiar are you with Hadoop and the Map-Reduce paradigm in general? How much time should I spend on the general and how much on the details of the excellent Python library?
Python afficionados and other programmers meet regularly in Helsinki.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
