Holiday Cookie Making for Public Service Providers

Hey ladies! I was thinking we could spend an evening baking and decorating Christmas cookies to distribute to organizations in Helena. These places could include the homeless shelter, the city firefighters, police departments, Shodair hospital, Intermountain Children's Home, just to name a few. If you have any ideas for who else we could deliver these to, your input is welcomed and encouraged.

We'll have wine and cheery Christmas music to get us in the mood, and all we ask is that you bring cookie dough (to make at minimum 2 dozen cookies), cutouts, and frosting. (Don't let it stop you from joining if you can't bring anything! We'd still love to have you help out.) :)

Please RSVP here or text me (Shannon) at[masked] so we can have a guess of all who is coming. I have 6 other ladies joining so far.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!

    Hello Ladies!

I just wanted to touch base to assure we are all on the same page for tomorrow, which I am very excited about! I also want to take a quick inventory - who all is bringing what? I know that 4 other ladies are coming in addition to the meetup group. YAY!

My thought is that if everyone brings cookie dough (or ingredients) for 2 dozen cookies AND frosting (or decorating magic, enough for their 2 dozen), we should be more than set!

I was going to make 5 dozen sugar cookies, as a baseline for us to work off of, then 2 dozen gingerbread cookies, 2 dozen pumpkin cookies, and Atom Bombs (sugar, butter, and oatmeal balls). I know that someone is going to bring tons of awesome cookie cutters and some cooling racks. Please let me know what you plan is. I cant wait to see you all!!

What a good idea. It is a bummer I'll have to miss this I'll just be getting back from Denver on this day. I love to bake but if we do it again next year I'll try to make it.

It may be fun to do this for other holidays as well, like Valentine's Day or something. :) Thanks for letting me know.

I won't be there yet but just sounds like so much fun and what a great and thoughtful idea if you do this again next year I will definitely be there!
