Quarterly Game Day

The standard quarterly game day, with proceeds to support the Lodge and its charities (and our use). Admission is $5 for all-day, and meals, snacks, and drinks will be available. Pay at the door only (show if you don't show, there's no charge).

And we're trying something new this quarter; a Game Bazaar. Bring in your used games, and sell them to the others attendees. Space is available in the half-table (approximately 3'x2.5') per shift, for $5. There is an additional fee of $1 per game sold. The two shifts are morning (10-5) and evening (5 to close). I have 8 spaces available in each shift, first come, first served.

I'm also calling for volunteers; I need help running this thing, so it stays fun instead of being just tiring. In particular, I need help serving and cooking lunch and dinner. Lunch typically runs from ~11:30 to 2:00 (morning shift is 10 to 5), and dinner from ~6:00 to 8:30 (evening shift is 5 to close). I also would like to "borrow" somebody's Costco/Sam's/(whatever) membership to purchase the food, drink, and other supplies (from my pocket, not yours). What do volunteers receive? If you serve a meal, it is free (as well as snacks and drinks during your shift). If you serve both meals, admission is free as well. If you lend your membership, admission is free.

There's a lot of new stuff in the post, so if you have any questions, post a comment, drop me a line, or ask at the next Game Night (October 4th).

I plan to show up, but it looks like I'll be getting there closer to noon.

I'm not sure if I'm coming to the event, but you don't have a slot for maybe. If you are going to Costco (Sterling) tonight, I might be available to meet you there/[masked]

If you still need access to Sam's Club, send me a message - I'd have to meet up after work to get you in, but it should be doable, depending on the day.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
