We're a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) club focused on serving the LGBTQ community and ANYONE who has ever wanted to get involved with BJJ but felt timid or discouraged. It can be intimidating to walk into a club and start training. This is a reasonable reaction to beginning a wonderfully intense, life-changing endeavor like BJJ. High Road Jiu Jitsu is an inexpensive and kind hearted way to get started in BJJ without the risk of "getting smashed" or feeling like you might not belong. We will focus on learning techniques and then rolling (sparring) with "mutual beneficience", a concept borrowed from Judo that requires every practitioner to play at a level the benefits both people with safety and respect.
