Hike Georgia Pages

Hike Georgia invites hikers from around state to join for day hikes, occasional long trek hikes and for exciting camping adventures. Hike Georgia is a co-ed hiking group for different skill-level hikers who are interested in the outdoors, exercising, meeting new people and for lovers of fresh air! The aim of the group is to explore the natural beauty of the terrain and to develop a social network for people with like interests. Become an organizer by selecting a venue/activity for the group and posting it as a suggestion on our events page. Our goal is to have the most active Hiking Meetup in Georgia, so participation, a great attitude and smile is a must!

How to Join:
Here are a few tips for filling out your profile:

  • Do not include any personal information (i.e. phone number or e-mail addresses) in your profile or in your RSVP comments. Our pages are not private so your profile information will be visible to everyone, including programs designed to capture e-mail addresses for spammers. You can always receive e-mail via the Meetup message system if you choose to activate it.
  • You do not need to list your last name. It is helpful if you use a last initial so we can tell the difference between Jim S and Jim T. If you wish to change your "name", click on the "Account" link up at the right hand top of the page and edit your name at any time.
  • Pictures help other members know who you are, but are NOT REQUIRED.

Please Note: Parking at some of the parks mandate a day use parking fee ranging from $3 - $5 per car. An annual pass can be purchased for $50.

By participating in Hike Georgia hikes, you accept the terms listed above and agree to "hold harmless" Hike Georgia Organizers, Co-Organizers, Assistant Organizers, Event Organizers and Members of any and all liability resulting to any injury sustained before, during or after a hike. While we encourage teamwork and watching over your neighbor and lending a hand during hikes, ultimately you are responsible for your own safety and anybody you bring with you as a guest.

Happy trails !
