Len Foote Hike Inn, via Springer Mtn approach (FAST PACE)

12 mi total at 2.75+mph est pace.  Hike as a Group. Starting at the Welcome Center we will take the breathtaking East Ridge trail (1 mi uphill) to the top of the falls.  Short break, then continue on the (BLUE blaze) AT Approach trail toward Springer Mtn, which has a great Mtn secton that will slow down the best of hikers (4.1).  Then take a (RIGHT) at sign (3.4 mi Springer Mtn or right 1.0 to the Hike Inn).  After checking out the beautiful natural lodge features and the view from the back side lookout, hike out and back down to the falls (5mi).  Moderate to strenuous hike at a fast pace.  This hike will be for those who want to and can keep up with a fast pace 2.75+++ mph.  A short stop will be made at Frosty Mtn and a break at the Len Foote Hike Inn, other stops as needed.  We will meet up at the Welcome Center @ 9:30am."  Park fee is $5.  There is a Restroom at the Welcome Center, top of the Falls and at the Hike Inn Lodge. 

Bring plenty of water(refill at Len Foote Hike Inn), Gatorade to stay hydrated and snacks/ lunch to fuel the body.  Rain gear, just in case.  Hiking poles if you have them.

Strenuous 6 mi Hike to the Len Foote Hike Inn and a fairly easy 6 mi hike back to the Welcome Center= 12mi total.
