Grow it Green Morristown and the Foodshed Alliance are hosting the 2nd Annual Food for Thought Film Series. We've already seen A Place at the Table, Forks Over Knives, and Our Daily Bread. The 4th film of this year's series will be Big River. This movie takes a critical look at the ecological consequences of Industrial Agriculture. It is a follow-up to last year's showing of King Corn. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to reflect and discuss the contents of the film. For more information on the film, please visit:
We will meet in the lobby of Geraldine R Dodge Foundation at 6:30pm then head up to the 3rd floor for the start of the movie at 6:45pm. Delicious snacks will be provided. A portion of ticket sales will benefit the community and must be purchased in advance at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ I'll let the group know in the comments section below when the tickets are available to purchase online. It's usually 1-2 weeks before the showing.
This was a popular event last year with the group who enjoyed the movies and discussions. There is ample, metered on-street parking on both sides of Maple St. as well as public parking with a fee on Dehart Street.
