Ready fo your ist spring paddle of the Delaware River? I am. The trip is a little over 10 miles of paddle via Durham Rd (PA 212) & PA 611 junction ending in Frenchtown NJ. We will do our own shuttling, meeting & dropping off the yaks in Durham river access (Launch site). One person will watch the yaks as we drive and park majority of the vehicles in Frenchtown NJ (end-point). Finally, we will shuttle back to Durham  to start the paddle. This event is really suitable to all levels of kayakers and yak sizes since the water is mostly calm & navigable. At the most, rapids are class 1 and probably a couple of areas of class 1 1/2-2. This scenic paddle will include some nice beaches, mini- islands, marshes, scenic homes, historic farms and hopefully, wildlife.

Hey all. Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain today the river has not dropped to a safe level (acceptable: 6 ft gage rate & below) & river flow is fairly fast (ave. 12 w/ acceptable level: 16 kcfs & below). From the attached forecast level is gonna crest at 11ft by Sunday-not good. See attached below. I am postponing this paddle trip for June 1. If that is a feasible date then you can keep your RSVP. If not, then you can cancel. http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/...

FYI: I have scheduled a hiker/paddler event at Beneduce Vineyards tom. from 6-9 pm. We can bring gears and trade them in or we can do mini-auctions. Pls see post. Thanks.
