Live Music @Beneduce Vineyards : Hikers, Backpackers, Paddlers etc. Social

http://beneducevineyards.com/

• Goal: Barter, trade, auction gears & exchange outdoors ideas etc. However, anybody can come.

• Food/Drinks: Beneduce's signature wine & NJ best pizza truck, Pure and Simple Hearth's authentic Italian wood-fired artisan pizza, made fresh to order

• Optional: Potluck:bring your own snacks/dinner ---esp for those on special diet OR share

• Band: Will update as soon as info available. Band Cover 5$

Anyways, i am thinking of posting a multi-meetup hiker/backpacker/paddler etc "meet the organizers" event. We can share experiences & food. Events host/organizers from Berks-Lehigh, Morristown , Central Jersey Backpackers, Discover Lehigh Valley & LVFWF will be there to give us tips etc. about the outdoors.

It'll be a fun event where newbies and oldies can exchange ideas about the outdoors. Maybe barter, trade, auction off gears as well. I have the perfect place for it- Beneduce Vineyards in Pittstown NJ. This event touts live music held on their beautiful stone patio with a bonfire during warmer weather or in their unique, heated Oasis in the bitter winter/rainy months.

Feel free to bring a snack or dinner and let your troubles melt away as you sip and enjoy great wine in good company. Saturdays are from 6-9pm (bar closes at 8pm) with a full band and $5 cover (applies to children and non-drinkers as well). Wine is cheap. Best of all we can even bring our own food.

Reggie my concern is that even with communication, the 3 of us spent the majority of time thinking 20 people backed out. An alternative may be to call Beneduce 3 days before and ask to reserve x tables (figure 8 per table).

Most definitely! Great ideas Arny. Thanx. Another grp suggested tying red baloons onto a chair.

---In posting this meetup, i included my cell for questions or concerns. Inspite of being spread-out I know everybody had a great time bc i only got 2 calls 1 for directions the other thanking me for posting-both from the same person.
---Like wt i said I'm sure i was clear on my original posting that this is a multi-meetup event w 6 different grps w/ all the participating grps listed. im sure too that i have reminded everybody that we will try to stick together to the right of the stage so we can find each other--not a guarantee though that we will. So pls read my reminders & original posting bc most info & links are there. if questions arise feel free to call.
---really appreciate these feedbacks as they will come handy next time. We can only get better w/time in handling a large crowd & upholding the caramaderie & friendship which is what meetup is all about.

Fragmentation unfortunately, can't be avoided in a venue as big as this w/ many ppl attending. Ppl comes in at diff. times too so, seats run-out. u can only save a seat for a short while as it would be unfair for earlier patrons esp wn there are no shows. The table i was in were 2 grps hence, there were 10 ppl w 4 ppl on 2 separate tables on the patio . Even w/ me sending clear reminders to all to stick to the right side facing the stage nevertheless, half end up on the other side. What's really imp't is to stick together at least as one grp (4 comfortable #) per table which i believe everybody did. Lastly, the plus 19 on my RSVP always denotes other ppl are coming fr other grps. if you are curious who they are just click on calendar for the meetup event date & you will see that it's a multi-meetup posting w a list of attendees. Lastly, this is the 3rd time i have scheduled an event here & ppl have always enjoyed it music, wine, games , pizza & all.

According to their website, there will be a pizza truck there. So, people can also buy food there. Also, the website says "No outside alcohol will be allowed." So it reads like we can bring our own water....

Reggie, Randy and I wanted to sign up for the paddle event earlier in the day but it's no longer listed. Has it been canceled?

    June 16, 2014

    • Reggie

Hi Kat. There is no earlier day event. This is purely a 6-9pm event where we can meet other outdoorsy active ppl at the vineyard. My cell is [masked] if u have further Qs later & see u soon.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
