Outdoor play and picnic at Boscobel: Othello

Over the last few years we have enjoyed several fantastic performances in the idyllic setting of Boscobel's outdoor theater. This year I will be attending all 3 plays, come join us for 1, 2, or all 3 (see discounts below).  On Sunday June 22nd join us for:

Othello by William Shakespeare; directed by Christoper V. Edwards.

Othello, newly married to Desdemona, is appointed leader of a major military operation. Iago, passed over for promotion by Othello in favor of the younger Cassio, persuades Othello that Cassio and Desdemona are having an affair, with devastating consequences.

Bonus: After the play there will be a Q&A with the actors.

Potluck picnic on the lawns prior to the show

Prior to the show we plan on having a potluck picnic on the lawn, with views of the Hudson River and surrounding hills. You can also enjoy a short stroll along their hiking trail or through the grounds.

As the audience sits under a tent the performance will occur rain or shine, only the actors might get wet whilst we still enjoy the surrounding scenery!

Schedule

5pm - picnic and walk in the grounds. Bring a dish to share.

7pm - performance starts.

We will meet on the lawn overlooking the Hudson at 5 pm for our picnic; bring food to share and a blanket/chair.  Having cups and plates etc. would be a good idea too! The picnic is subject to cancellation, depending on the weather.

Purchasing tickets If you wish to join us please purchase your own tickets at http://hvshakespeare.org.

Cost Center $39.50, Side $32, Restricted View $29 and $27(plus booking fee).

I would recommend avoiding the side seats on the right, many of those seats you will have sun in your eyes as the sun goes down (visor provided!)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
