Boccardo-North Entrance at Alum Rock Park.

We are joining the Milpitas Social Group.

Slap on your sunscreen, and plan on this three-mile loop that climbs 1,100 feet in just over a mile to an expansive hilltop overlook.(This is when we get to the hill from the parking lot).

In the average lifetime, a person will walk the equivalent of 5 times around the equator.

Distance: 5.4 miles

Elevation: 1100 feet.

Duration: 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Difficulty: Moderate/Difficulty

Make sure bring enough water, snacks/Lunch.

No dogs or other pets are allowed at Alum Rock park.

Parking: $6 inside the park; a limited number of free spots are available at the main entrance with no fees.

Welcome to MSG - Milpitas Social Group.

This hike is for all the people that want to explore Alum Rock Park.

This will be a huge group of people.

We suggested that you arrive early and

park in the residential area

before the park entrance and walk in

Limits: No pets (except for assistance dogs).

What to bring:

  • Lunches
  • Snacks
  • 2-3 bottles of water(mandatory)
  • Sunblock
  • First aid kits

We'll meet at the main entrance on Penintencia Creek Road. Click HERE

Please note: THE ACTUAL ADDRESS IS 15350 PENINTENCIA CREEK ROAD. But if you mapped to that, you would ended up in the middle of the park(we don't want that) You can park on the street or drive into the park and park at the first FREE parking(if you get there a little early!)
