Guided Wildflower & Lady Slipper Hike

Join the Laurentian Lakes Chapter member on this 5.7 mile hike as we search for our state flower and identify other wildflowers along the way.  Remember your water, snack, sturdy shoes and mosquito repellent! We'll shuttle to the Camp 6 Forest Trail and hike back to our cars at the Elbow Lake Trailhead.

The hike was great! I enjoyed meeting and talking to the new hikers who joined us. Hope to see you on July 20 for the Raspberry Hike.

Marcus, great job on the photos--again! You captured the day for us so we could replay the day later.

The yellow Lady-slippers are fading fast and the Showy Lady-slippers are just beginning to bloom. Several wild flowers have started to bloom this week and some oyster mushrooms are in prime condition. I harvested a large oyster yesterday which will fill my omelet this evening.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
