Goldstream Park loop 6km then Finlayson loop 7.5km

Let's hike the Goldmine Trail up to Little Niagara Falls for a view of the waterfall, then up and around to the Trestle, Down Goldmine trail stopping to check out the Gold Mine shaft, Miner's spring, and Hidden Spring Falls before continuing along Arbutus Ridge trail and around to Prospector's Trail. Distance for this part of the loop is 6km.

**Please note this route crosses the train trestle, which can be frightening for anyone with a fear of heights - including dogs! **

At the end of the Goldmine/Prospector Trail loops, those that are interested in continuing can summit Mount Finlayson, jog the backside, then down and around Finlayson Arm Road. Mount Finlayson Loop distance is 7.5km.

Approximate total distance - 14km

Nice to see everyone , the trestle was unnerving for a few of us but a good experience. Then I was pushed again fitness wise after Mt. Finlayson. The ascent took us approx 35min. and the descent was another 40 min, just over an hour(4:00 pm), good timing so we could get on to our next commitments. See you again :)

Sorry for the late notice everyone. Clay and I have to cancel out due to a family emergency. I hope you all can still make the hike without us! It's a fairly easy trail to find. Best of luck and catch you all next time. Again, huge apologies.

I've RSVP'd but if I can get a ride off someone from James Bay or downtown that would be great. Ken

Would love to come, but think my dog might have a hard time crossing the trestle :( if only there was a was to trick her! :)

I thought about that but she's only a year old and I would be worried about her wriggling and falling. We've tried crossing the trestle before, but she finds it quite scary.
