This group's main focus is to enjoy off-leash hikes with our canine companions in a fun & welcoming environment.   We are dog lovers who like to hike & enjoy having other dog-loving hikers join us.   Although leash laws do apply to these areas these hikes are scheduled at times & places where well-behaved off-leash dogs won't interfere with other hikers' enjoyment.

Our hikes range in distance & intensity. There should be something for all hiking levels & speed.   It is recommended for each hiker to bring plenty of water for themselves & their pets. Most hikes will be in locales with frequent access to clean water for your pets & will be noted in the hike description.

 

Expectations

  • If you bring your dog(s), you must be able to recall them when necessary.
  • Dogs must be socialized to people & other dogs. Any dogs displaying aggression must be leashed & kept in back of the group, as a condition of continuing the hike.
  • Be willing to hike with the group.
  • Bring a leash to each hike. We do occasionally come across horses, other hiking groups &, occasionally, the park rangers. At these times it may be necessary to leash our pets for the safety of themselves & other hikers.
  • Bring enough water & other supplies you & your pet will need for each hike. If you are not sure what to wear or what supplies are recommended, ask the person hosting each hike.
