Our WEDNESDAY WALKS make you "FEEL GOOD", give you a stress break from work by talkking with friendly people, get your body hormone endorphins flowing, rejuviate your soul by being along the water in scenic outdoors locations, "FEEL GOOD" for several days, & the higher metabolism weight loss lasts about 48 hours. Side trails are available if you want higher peak heart rates & weight loss.
Please join us at 6pm Wednesdays. We share 1.3 hours of energizing walking & great conversations, on one of 12 trails, in the Greenville scenic areas of Cleveland Park, Paris Mountain, & Furman Lake, usually along streams or lakes. Afterwards most walkers will go to a nearby restaurant and continue the conversations.
HOLISTICS HEALTH- Scott is also organizer for the HOLISTICS meetup group @ http://www.meetup.com/Holistic-Health-Organics-Weight-Los...
, and he invites you to join that group as well. He is very knowedgeable about weight loss, supplements, organics, & meditation, & can suggest items & web links for your weight loss & other needs. He generally only provides assistance to recent active participants in the groups. Meetings for that group will restart when Scott gets his business recovered from the ecomonmic depression.
HIKING- Our organizer Scott loves outdoor explorations, & was a canoe trip guide after high school. His longest hike was 32 days backpacking in British Columbia, & he's hiked over 60 trails locally. He's had three rugged mountain climbs above 13,000', his longest Canadian canoe trip was 23 days, he has chartered two "bare boat" sailing trips, and his deepest scuba dive was 170'. On our past hikes we have taken extra time to appreciate views, have a snack, catch our breath, sit in silence, etc. Difficulty is easy-moderate, as rated for new hikers. Prior hikes have been at Dupont Forest, Paris Mountain, etc. Scott has not been able to lead hikes recently, since his private business is consuming so many hours, due to the current world wide economic tragedies, but he plans to start again upon recovery.
On Wednesday, November 11, we'll meet at 6:00 at the entrance to the parking lot between County Square and the Governor's School (see County Square Parking Map in the Files section). If you want to enter an address in your GPS system, use 15 University Street.
You can count on a brisk walk (3-4 miles) with excellent company and conversations. Please remember to bring a flashlight if you have one.
See you then.
