O: Moonlight hike above La Canada

September 22, 2013  6:00 pm O: Moonlight Hike above La Canada.  Moderate paced 4 mi rt, 1200' gain on the Earl Cyn fire road on or near the full moon to enjoy the beautiful city lights, at the top water tank where the old "Leon" sign used to be. This old hike originated with dearly departed Sierra Club leader Julia Thomas many years ago. No beginners please, and no tigers. Some parts  may be a bit steep. Meet 6:00 pm at Palm Crest School parking lot, 5025 Palm Dr, La Cañada. Dress to layer. Bring water, lugsoles, goodies to share. Rain cancels. No tigers please. Children older than 10 years old, or good hikers are welcome with their parents. If bringing a minor friend, need to have written release from the minor's parent. Leaders: Maew Suchin, Joe Phillips and John Radalj. Hike is sponsored by Sierra Club's Crescenta Valley Group. Sierra Club requires all participants sign a liability waiver
