At the base of Mt. Index lies one of the most beautiful lakes on this earth. With snow year round ( at only 2500 feet in elevation ) and crystal clear water, Lake Serene is a prime example of how blessed we are to have so much natural beauty in our own back yard. A NW Forest Pass is required for parking at this trailhead.
This will be an all day event and there is no exact time on when we will be back at the P&R. If you have other commitments for that evening, you may want to take your own car to the trailhead.
For safety reasons, it is very important to stay together in a group and wait for others when you get to a trail junction.
