Redmond Watershed Park and Preserve

This will be a quick , easy hike  that will get us back in time for the Super Bowl.

Well maintained trails and facilities and yet well protected from encroaching development, the Redmond Watershed Preserve offers a worthwhile natural experience right on the city's doorstep. A wide network of multiple use trails explores the reaches of the preserve, providing good hiking opportunities in a surprisingly scenic environment.

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this park

Directions: In Redmond at the end of 520, continue onto Avondale Road. After just more than one mile, turn right onto Novelty Hill Road. Continue 2.3 miles to the park entrance on the left, across from 218th Ave NE.

Difficulty: Easy

Hiking time: 2 hours

Facilities: Restroom at trailhead, no drinking water available.

Length: 5.6 miles.

Configuration: Loop

Access: No pass required for parking or park access.

I will send an email out to everyone the day before the hike with my cell number in case anyone needs to contact me.

Arg! I've had a terrible toothache off and on for the last 2 weeks. The last 5 days it subsided and I thought I would be okay until I go in for surgery. Tonight the pain is back with a vengeance. Sincere apologies for the last minute cancellation.
