This is the return of the mid-week hiking series at St. Edwards State Park. We'll meet every Wednesday, and hit the trail at 6:00 PM.
The longest trail is 2 miles RT, and the elevation climb is 500', with great scenery, including a nice span along Lake Washington. The Park has a number of trails that can be added to extend the hike.
The speed is moderate (2-3 mph).
For a map of the park:
Bring water. Hiking pole(s), comfy cloths, and hiking shoes always a good idea (remember cotton is great for the tropics but doesn't work too well when hiking in the Pacific NW).
Discover Pass is required. You can get a day pass at the Park for $10, but for $34 ($30 plus tax) you can pick up a pass that covers ALL of the state parks for an entire year at Fred Meyers, QFCs, online, etc.
Dogs are fine, but must be kept on a leash, and please bring the doggie bags to clean up after any souvenirs left by your loved one on 4 feet.
After turning off of Juanita drive into the Park, keep to your right and go through the parking lot to the right of Bastyr University, go past the small storage sheds that will be on your right and drive into the circular parking lot just beyond - you'll be able to see the Park's sign/Bulletin Board from there - that is our meeting spot.
