Mountain Goats

Hello Hikers,

On the 4th of July I was in a group that went to Colchuck lake, While we were at the lake and having lunch, several mountain goats passed near by, and one goat came further up the trail, to within about 25' of another group of hikers, and about 35' feet from us, before it evenatually turned back an up a trail with the other goats.

WTA has a nice tutorial on mountain goat encounters. I highly recommend it:

Hope to see you on the trails.
