Where would you like to go for photography hikes / walks?

We are Brooks and Kay Wade, of Jocassee Lake Tours. We like to join the Meetup groups that have accepted our sponsorship so that we have an informal, personal way to stay in touch.
Thanks…Brooks and Kay
Although our mainstay is hiking we've also been biking, camping, kayaking, walking and eating with cameras. Just about anything outdoorsy with camera included. The trails we choose range from easy to moderately strenuous and almost all include rocks, roots, and elevation changes. Our average pace is 3 miles an hour, slower up hill. So we don't go slow; we just stop a lot for pictures depending on the photo ops.
On hikes we do the buddy system which allows more opportunities to take pictures as photographers are of a very curious nature and tend to wander off.
We are starting a new event--discussion group about photography that will include a short walk to practice said skills. Thom Washington will be heading this up.
Cameras are not required but highly recommended. From our experience it is best if you have a first aid kit, a change of clothes and blanket left in your car, lots of water, hiking poles, and a whistle.
